The Harquail Theatre seats 300 and is equipped with a computerized lighting console, a 32-channel audio mixing console, an array of lighting instruments and microphones, projection, and a grand piano. The stage is 31 x 29 feet with adequate wings and a fly system. A spacious foyer allows for displays and other creative uses of the space. A loading dock facilitates access for large sets. There are two large dressing rooms with showers, a green room, and a star dressing room.

Rates & Terms

Base Rental Charge that covers use of the stage and the assistance of one lights/sound operator
• Daily Rental Rate (up to 6 hours of use, inclusive of production, set up and breakdown) – $1,200.
• Damage deposit (refundable) – $500.

The following additional charges apply (if applicable):
• Additional Hours beyond the 6 hours – $200 per hour.
• Rehearsal Rate – $150 per hour.
• Bar Buyout Option (Licensee controls the bar) – $300.
• Special equipment prices available upon request.

Confirmation And Payment

• To confirm the reservation, we require an initial deposit of 50% of estimated charges. There is no refund on the deposit if cancelled less than 15 days prior to the function date.
• Full payment in advance by cash, cheque or debit/credit card is required when the contract is signed, at least 10 days prior to the function date.
• Any additional charges incurred are due upon receipt of final bill, if applicable.

Adjacent to the Harquail Theatre is the Studio Theatre, which has a small performing area and seats 80 in a semi-circular seating arrangement. The Studio is equipped with lighting, sound and a projector. It is well suited for small productions of experimental plays, recitals, cabarets, and poetry readings, for use as a rehearsal space, for lectures and meetings.

The theatre is a licensed premises and alcoholic drinks may be sold on the days and times specified in the liquor licence, however consumption of food and drinks is confined to the bar area and is prohibited in the seating areas or outside the building(s).
