Rundown

Now in its 19th year at the Harquail Theatre, Dave Martins’ Rundown continues to pack the house. This musical comedy review takes a satirical look at life in the Cayman Islands through hilarious skits and songs. Each year Dave Martins creates a new script that is based on events, trends, politics and news items in Cayman.

The show is directed and designed by award winning CNCF Artistic Director Henry Muttoo. Mr. Muttoo has directed and designed the show from its beginning. Asked about his thoughts on the growth of Rundown over the past 18 years, Mr. Muttoo said that the good thing is that it has developed while remaining static. Elaborating on this contradictory statement, he explained that Rundown had remained static in the sense that the formula has remained the same and people who have grown up with this show know what it is about and that has helped to keep it popular. Mr. Muttoo says the show has developed by building a theatre tradition in Cayman and introducing a wealth of new talent to Cayman audiences.
